Rob is
Matt is the VP of Finance and Development at Verus. He wears many hats and is responsible for all things finance including, underwriting, deal analysis, bank relations as well as project management, property management, leasing, and legal analysis.
Before joining Verus Matt worked in investment management field optimizing institutional multi-asset portfolios. He is a graduate of the University of Washington and a CFA charter holder.
John is Partner and co-founder of Verus.
John has more than 25-years’ experience in structuring and negotiating real estate development and investment transactions. Mr. Maus is responsible for identifying development and investment opportunities, leasing, oversight of the development process and the provision of funding for Verus’ real estate projects. Prior to forming Verus, Mr. Maus was a partner with Univest Development Group for 14 years, Vice President of Structured Finance for Greenwich Capital Financial, and a Senior Lending Officer for (now) Bank of America’s International Banking and Energy Banking groups in Dallas, Texas. He also served 6 years in the U.S. Airforce both active duty and reserves.
Mr. Maus holds a BS in Economics (’87) from the University of Texas -Arlington. He is a member of the Phoenix Thunderbirds and a variety of other organizations in the Phoenix area.

Rob has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate includes strategic planning, market penetration, retail development and leasing, project planning, and disposition. He founded Northwest Retail Partners, Ltd. in 1992 and continues to provide long-term counsel/representation to a number of prominent companies including Whole Foods Market, Home Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond, Cost Plus World Market and Nordstrom Rack.
Rob owns and or is developing office, retail and residential properties in excess of 2 million square feet.
